Ask HN: How to sync my files to my home server?
Is there a home storage solution with client software for windows, linux and android supporting live sync (like dropbox).
I tip my hat to Nextcloud which I am experimenting with at the moment but I am not really looking for a platform. I just want to sync my remote files to my home server.
- ttyprintk 6y agoWould you consider Keybase?
- p0d 6y agoThanks but no. Looks great but yet another platform.
- lothar_m 6y agoTake a look at Syncthing. Been using it without any problems for a few years now.
- EngCanMan 6y agoThis, or resilio sync has been solid for me. There are others like freesync and goodsync but I have never tried them.
- netizen-9748 6y agoJust use cron to run rsync every hour or something
