What about using this for grid scale energy storage ?

  That was my immediate reaction as well. Even on a cycle per day that is ~27 years for Grid usage while still retaining 90% of capacity. Consider weight and volume isn't a concern for Grid Scale Energy Storage I assume this is a good fit? Not to mention for something like AirPod....... no more throwing them away due to absurd Battery degradation, at the expense or lower connection time.
