The books are EXCELLENT, and better than the TV show (which I also like a lot). https://www.amazon.com/gp/bookseries/B00K7B2CRQ https://www.amazon.com/gp/books

There are 9 books total, not including the novellas. The last book of the series is scheduled for later this year.
It's structured as 3 trilogies. The tone and pace of the first book is maintained (for the most part) through the entire series. So, if you like the first book, you'll probably like the entire thing.
- fullstop 6y agoI read the first six quickly, then took a long-ish break to read Worm. I had a little difficulty getting back into Persepolis Rising for some reason.
- wiremine 6y ago> I had a little difficulty getting back into Persepolis Rising for some reason. I can see that. It's a bit of a reset (without giving away the plot) but it sets up 8 extremely well, which was a great book. I'm really excited to see how they wrap up the 9th and final.
- fullstop 6y agoI have Tiamat's Wrath waiting, maybe I'll pick it up again this weekend.
- AndrewLiptak 6y agoThe authors have actually said that they look at the books as duologies, rather than trilogies (except for the last three). They're also planning to collect all the novellas / short stories into one volume at some point.
- wiremine 6y agoGood to know! Kind of crazy they work as trilogies, too. (or maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there).
- AndrewLiptak 6y agoI always thought about them as trilogies, so you're not the only person.
- tastyfreeze 6y agoI think of them as trilogies. Pre-ring (1-3), post-ring (4-6), and Laconia trilogies (7-9).
