It actually does the opposite, and takes care to not blame the entire group. Right after 9/11, I remember two main domestic messages:
1. A LOT of flag waving. Like, flags on everything.
2. Islam is a religion of peace/Al-Qaeda corrupted Islam/not all Muslims are terrorists/condemnation of racist attacks against Muslims, etc.
