Yup, Quake had something similar that allowed players to have fancy looking names in multiplayer games.
- meddlepal 6y agoIndeed, this was one of those undocumented but everyone sort of knew features in Quake-engine based games. Everyone just learned it through asking usually in the multiplayer chat.
