I usually use an awfully basic Casio wristwatch on my nightstand as an alarm. 5€ at a random chinese seller. 3€ Battery lasts 2 years. Job done, move on.
If you need to use a smartphone, at least keep it in airplane mode, even if only to avoid eating radiations 8hr every night.
- Broken_Hippo 6y agoI've used a lot of alarms over the years - I sleep through them, get used to the sounds, and so on. Phones aren't foolproof - i've slept through 17 phone calls in a row. It has been so bad that I was afraid to live alone because I thought I would get fired for being late. Solved with a phone.
