Again, thanks for the in-depth answer. You got a point on the integration side (on-wheel commands) and the eventual app-switching needs. I also concede that modifying the route (more than merely following it, which I find trivial in any setup) is easier on an integrated system rather than a mounted smartphone. I usually throw my smartphone away in the backseat when I drive, so that's where our paths start to diverge I guess.
