Is ending anonymity on social media the answer?
- bigphishy 6y agoNo. Betteridge's law of headlines . . . Although, I support setting a similar type of legislation targeting Major websites ( 50 million+ active users ) to enforce something akin to the Fairness Doctrine. Other than that, a long-term solution is to improve education so that a democratic society has enough critical thinking skills to make better judgements. With that said, all the conspiracy peddling may actually condition people to be more critical. I see the youth today as far better at detecting bullshit, simply from being exposed to so much of it.
