I've always wondered why most developers (myself included) prefer to follow popular opinions instead of thinking by themselves.
This post just frames what I've experienced in two decades of working in IT.
- nine_k 6y agoBecause it saves time and effort? If you don't have enough expertise, you imitate those who do. As you gain knowledge, you can evaluate others' ideas, and then roll your own.
