Right. The internet has taken away the need for a large part of the reasons for driving or (non-entertainment) travelling. Making more use of telecommuting will drive down the number of accidents without the potential risks and liability issues of driverless cars. Not that driverless cars aren't neat, but I agree it is the solution to the wrong problem.
