I'll take exception and note that many metrics are displayed on the infotainment system, to say nothing of GPS and phone calls. I know that laws are intended to mitigate this, but the basic issue is that Android has frustrating UI issues that will likely contribute to an unsafe motor vehicle environment. Distractions exist. Android nearly gets me killed on a daily basis as-is, without making my car into a glorified smart phone.
