For all the recent complain about how twitter was "censoring" free speech, this is what real censoring looks like.
- barbacoa 6y agoIn India this is done with a government decree, in the USA I suspect this would have been done with a off-the-record phone call. The key difference is that Twitter doesn't care about Indian politics. In the United States Twitter is politically aligned with a faction of the power establishment. That's why you see a revolving door between Twitter execs and DNC administrations. Twitter is as politically independent from the USA government as Huawei is independent from the Chinese government.
