How do high frequency traders operate in these conditions? Do they use margin? Is it not as capital intensive because they tend to buy AND sell so much?
- dubcanada 6y agoThey don't use Robinhood. Like the article say there is companies that are 50 years old with barrels of money.
- vinay427 6y agoTo be fair, Interactive Brokers also halted these transactions, and they're well-known for catering to hobbyist and professional traders. Granted, they're more mainstream than dedicated day-trading brokerages, but some of those depended on clearing houses that also decided to halt sales.
