I wouldn't be so confident it's a "neutral platform". The name Wobbly comes from the nickname for the Industrial Workers of The World, a far-left organization that, among other things, advocates against trade unions in favor of "One Big Union" and advocates for class war, revolution, and the end of capitalism.

> Between these two classes a struggle must go on until the workers of the world organise as a class, take possession of the means of production, abolish the wage system, and live in harmony with the earth
> It is the historic mission of the working class to do away with capitalism. The army of production must be organised, not only for everyday struggle with capitalists, but also to carry on production when capitalism shall have been overthrown
- Omnitaus 6y agoI'm not sure how their name referencing one of the best-known unions inherently makes them far-left. Police unions could use the platform, and they're decidedly not on the left (and excluded from the IWW for the same reason Unions got us the 5 day work-week, here's hoping this platform enables workers to agitate for the 4 day work week, higher minimum wages, paid family leave (we are one of two countries that doesn't guarantee it), etc.
