This is maybe not the ideal place for this, but has the analysis been done to confirm that EVs are going to be a net positive for the environment? I have a lot of concerns stemming from the mining needed to secure the materials to make all these batteries. And the entire transportation sector is only responsible for 28% of the greenhouse gas emissions in the US, according to the latest data I could find. Would be happy to be have my concerns assuaged.
