Forest Gump came out in the mid 90s.
- username90 6y agoEvery chocolate box I've seen had a description of each filling like this: https://mmmaladdin.blogg.se/images/2011/2006_aladdin2_161188218.jpg https://mmmaladdin.blogg.se/images/2011/2006_aladdin2_161188... And they have had it for a really long time, here is old version of the same box: https://cdn3.cdnme.se/cdn/8-1/3120698/images/2012/aladdin_80t_50ace981ddf2b360110018c6.jpg https://cdn3.cdnme.se/cdn/8-1/3120698/images/2012/aladdin_80... Why would you sell candy without telling people whats inside them? Most people don't like all fillings.

Not everything in this universe needs to follow a perfectly logical explanation. As for the pictures, I can say the most famous brand people are most familiar with where I'm from is sees candy chocolate boxes. I've never seen Kraft candy, that company is mostly known for cheese. If sees candy did label their candies I've never seen it and therefore it must not have been very evident. Regardless what you think, the quote exists because most people usually don't know what they're eating when they put these candies in their mouths. See here for the quote: https://youtu.be/egkrxkiUnoo?t=43 https://youtu.be/egkrxkiUnoo?t=43 If you squint you'll see that's a Sees candy box.
- username90 6y agoI always just assumed that "you didn't know what you'd get" meant that when the chocolate box gets to you only the shitty ones nobody likes are left. There is an alternative in my country which is "Going out is like a box of chocolate, if you wait too long there are just a few disgusting alcoholics in the corners left".
