I just found this post and haven't read what anything is about. But, I use a OnePlus 6 with rooted Lineage and whatever default version of a micro or nano gapps they suggest. I'm not much of a consumer-style user, but the phone absolutely does everything I expect of it. I do no shortage of stuff in Termux. AdAway works great. And, having the 256gb option gives me a lot of breathing room.
