a "vga" card with 8mb of ram was probably a svga card (24 * 640 * 480 is just under 8 mega). no real reason for it to need 8mb otherwise back then.

- compsciphd 6y agoyou're right, I multiplied it by 10 in my head. but even more so for OP. It wasn't a plain vga card.
