- mellow-lake-day 6y agoToo bad that website doesn't specify how much space that all takes. Would be interesting to know.
- bryanrasmussen 6y agoDo you really need to know? I doubt it takes up more than 30 GB, you're not downloading all of StackOverflow, just the content.
- mellow-lake-day 6y agoYeah because the SSD on my laptop isn't that big. It's 240 GB. Most of which is already filled.
- Kwpolska 6y agoI checked, and it’s split per language/library/framework. The SO offline docset for Python is 2.2 GB, and the docset for JS is 3.02 GB right now.
- mellow-lake-day 6y agoAwesome thanks! That's not too bad!
- RMPR 6y agoWhile it's not for documentation per se, I think archivebox[0] can be very useful for that use case. Disclaimer: I never used it, just came across this a while ago and thought it was cool. 0: https://archivebox.io/ https://archivebox.io/
- tuankiet65 6y agoZeal is similar and cross-platform. I think Zeal takes its docs from Dash though. https://zealdocs.org/ https://zealdocs.org/
- syferfyre 6y agoWhen I try to download zeal for mac, it redirects me to the dash website.
- rgomez 6y agoAn alternative way of having offline documentation directly in the browser: https://devdocs.io/ https://devdocs.io/
