- sokoloff 6y agoFigure 1 hurt my head for its crimes against data digestion. It seems to be reporting on union membership by people and providing those counts as percentages to 2 decimal places (or 1 “when we feel like it”) when the figures seemingly must be integers.
- onion2k 6y agoIt seems to be reporting on union membership by people and proving those counts as percentages to 2 decimal places when the figures (seemingly) must be integers The slices in the pie chart are labelled as "<number of reports>, <percentage>%". The comma is not a decimal point; it's a separator. That definitely not clear enough though.
- dhosek 6y agoBut all it takes is realizing that two of the three "percentages" in the table that are over 100% to realize that interpreting those numbers as percentages with a comma as a decimal point (which would be very uncommon in an English-language text and unheard of in an American English text) cannot be the correct interpretation.
- gabereiser 6y agoI also thought we were talking about 100,000%'s here. The figure diagram is confusing to say the least.
