Jetbrain stuff has always been slow - until I got an AMD 5600 (ram at 3200). For whatever reason, this combo of chip and updates to their software maybe (I turn off a lot of the add ins) - I've stopped being annoyed at the speed. It's "fast enough".
- mark_l_watson 6y agoI don’t disagree with you, their IDEs have been full featured but a little slow. Suggestion, if I may: remove all plugins unless you really need them. That changes on Apple M1 Silicon. PyCharm and IntelliJ native are very fast, as is Apple’s XCode. Life is sweet.
