Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a partly Christian theocratic state in 19C China
- tkgally 6y agoI posted this article because I learned about this “kingdom” only recently and was embarrassed at my ignorance about such an important part of 19th century history. I’ve started reading books about it to try to understand both the role it played in shaping today’s China and what it might tell us about theocratic movements in today’s world.
