Ask HN: What other single topics have saturated the top posts?
19 Robinhood / Reddit posts in the top 100 right now. Political events don’t usually do that here, but this one is special. I can’t remember noticing one topic dominating the conversations like this.

- auslegung 6y agoYou call this a political event but I don’t think of it as a political event unless you mean in the sense of polis, but even then it seems a financial event to me. I’m curious why you call it a political event
- boatsie 6y agoI think this appeals to the audience here because a retail driven short squeeze is really a clever finance “hack” that’s not been seen before. Throw in Reddit and gaming and you have a pretty interesting story.
