- hackeraccount 6y agoThe question to my mind is why the perpetrators chose to target FireEye. Clearly they were being super careful. Going after FireEye was going after a group for whom security is not an after thought - the others - even Microsoft and the NSA - do something plus worry about security. I imagine there's someone getting reamed out right now for spoiling the game. That someone either approved or started the idea of trying to break into FireEye. Either they got cocky or they got cheap. If its the later what exactly does that say - because my assumption is that they went after FireEye not because of anything FireEye had but because FireEye had tools and methods that the perpetrator didn't think they could either buy or develop. Which goes back to being cheap or cocky. Either way though I bet someone got a ding on their permanent record.
- curiousgal 6y agoYeah this could have been written by a journalist given the lack of technical details, the presence of which is what the title suggests.
- biosed 6y agoI'm sure the content is good but it is difficult to read with all the grammatical errors. As others have noted, there is a distinct lack of technical details.
