As a developer how much time do you spend on tech debt?
- RegnisGnaw 6y agoVery little! I'm working very productively in a "feature factory" cranking out new features every release.
- twilson63 6y agoIs the debt piling up or do you manage it by automating deploys, integration testing and continuous delivery.
- RegnisGnaw 6y agoThe debt is piling up at a rapid rate. Deploys are semi-automatic right now but that's another team that does it. QA/Intergration is semi-automated as well with some automated testing and some manual testing, but that's another team too. No continuous delivery. I'll be out of here by end of the year, so I really don't care much. They really lied during the interview about their processes (fake Agile). I've stuck around for 2-3 years so that it doesn't look bad on my resume.
