I love a good XKCD. :-) I wonder if the fact anyone can join the open source party at any time, means they generally don't. To explain, I posit that people like to have the reassurance of Open Source existing as the minimal floor of quality of experience. And then they go chase "the best experience" knowing that if it all falls over they can go back to the welcoming embrace of Open Source. Who knows, maybe WSB people are busy with a Murmur server right now!
