We had a similar issue with our school always ringing my wife first instead of myself - even though I was the one coming down to the school several times a week (sometimes several times a day) due to a high-needs situation. Even after we asked them to put a big notice in our records saying to try ringing me first. This is in Melbourne, Australia.
