It blew me away when the ok symbol somehow became a white supremacist symbol.
I couldn't believe people would actually allow white supremacists to have so much power over them that they'd circumvent such a benign symbol.
- loveistheanswer 6y agoIf my meme history is correct, the okay symbol was created as a troll on 4chan, and the media took the bait
- theandrewbailey 6y agoSame thing with white milk.
- AustinDev 6y agoYou are correct. It was the beginning of the modern ‘clown world’ movement in memery.
- Person5478 6y agoThat's unfortunate, I know it had consequences for atleast 1 person who didn't understand the implications (I'm thinking of the driver who got recorded making the symbol).
