A Writer Lost His Singing Voice, Then Discovered the 'Gymnastics' of Speech
- ashton314 6y agoThis speaks to me: I’m a singer—not a soloist or anything; I like singing in a choir. I can relate a bit to how sad it is when you want to sing but you can’t because of sickness or something. What gets me is that I have a similar issue with my hands: I have been recovering from some RSI that leaves me unable to type. I’ve got a Kinesis and I go to physical therapy when I can, but this is rough! Take care of yourself!
- raidicy 6y agoI have not read the article but I wanted to comment on your comment. I too suffer from RSI in my hands and also am not able to be a vocalist anymore. I've been suffering from this for three-plus years now and I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I bought this book 'it's not carpal tunnel syndrome' and some of the exercises have been helping. Take care.
