It used to be possible to order spare parts if you asked in the shops - customer service. Their backend system supports this and they can mail you the parts (at least here in DK).
Then they removed this option because (I was told by an employee) people bought old IKEA furniture and fixed it instead of buying new stuff.
Now we are back to the beginning.
- ahartmetz 6y agoI think here in Germany I've seen a vending machine for spare parts in an Ikea store less than a year ago. Obviously they were only the most common parts or parts kits, maybe 40 different ones.
