Isn't this a marginal thing where you're going to pay more for diminishing returns?
These are enthusiasts or professional power user machines; the people who want them will pay more per core to get the best available tech.
- neogodless 6y agoFor the most part. The 8-core consumer Ryzen 7 5800X cost 50% more than the 6-core Ryzen 5 5600X... but the Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core is only 22% more expensive. Puts that one in a weird place. But yes at the high end, you definitely see a clearer picture of diminishing returns!
