- grahamlee 6y agoInterestingly the title _Learning Cocoa_ (colophon says the animal is an Irish Setter, as is the cover of _Cocoa in a Nutshell_) is missing. https://learning.oreilly.com/library/view/learning-cocoa/0596001606/cover.html https://learning.oreilly.com/library/view/learning-cocoa/059...
- faitswulff 6y agoHuh, why are the images gifs?
- frakt0x90 6y agogif is lossless for images with < 256 colors and good for sharp-edged art according to this. http://ist.uwaterloo.ca/~anderson/images/GIFvsJPEG/compression_rates.html http://ist.uwaterloo.ca/~anderson/images/GIFvsJPEG/compressi... That would be my guess.
- faitswulff 6y agoThanks!
- pony_soprano 6y agoI love O'Reilly's animals. Especially their original tarsier.
- jonshariat 6y agoI don't see my book listed there. https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/tragic-design/9781491923603/ https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/tragic-design/978149192... Is this specific to programming topics?
- cafard 6y agoHe does not give an exhaustive list, rather the head of a couple of lists, and a couple of lists matching on one attribute or another. The animal on your cover looks like a Portuguese man of war, which would not match the "ama" search on animal, and of course your title does not include Perl.
