Highly recommend the book "Rentier Capitalism" as a follow up to "Capital in the 21st Century". Royal Dutch Shell receives a detailed study as a resource rentier, and be warned that Shell is basically just a holding company that knows how to sweat an asset. Makes total sense that they would be prepared to acquire a charging network.
