I just glanced at their contributor docs. It seems they get around providing a full build by using their patch system. The changes must be submitted via PR then referenced in a running pfsense build. Seems like a painfully slow workflow, but I could be wrong (never tried it myself). I'm not opposed to closed source projects, but no one appreciates false advertising. Out of curiosity, How should a project of this nature properly advertise? Would an asterisk next to "open source" with a clarification be enough?
