I have done something similar to this. My first entry is from 11 years ago. One thing that bothers me is that over time links stop working. I wish I would have downloaded the content and stored a local cache. Not everything makes it to archive.org.
- nikivi 6y agoThat's an issue yes. I wanted to write a tool to create snapshots of all links (that aren't found on archive.org). Together with https://github.com/stevenvachon/broken-link-checker https://github.com/stevenvachon/broken-link-checker that lets you see what links are broken so they can be replaced. I think you can keep the wiki quite up to date and not lose things.
