I don't see it as a problem either. I visit HN a few times a day, when i need a break from work and want to avoid descending into the dark Twitter rabbit hole, and usually check out and vote on a couple of articles in the new links queue. Only difference is that i come less for the technical stuff — i'm not a developer — and more for the (usually) intelligent discussions, which sometimes lead me to even better stories.
