Is it possible to capture the natural gas leaking from oil wells like we already capture flue gas? Would that be economical?

  I'm guessing it's not economical or they would be doing it, but I don't know.

    Maybe 3d-printed containment vessels and Seuss-like pumping toolery? Could geodesic domes solve this problem given market economics and current penalties and incentives?
