Edit: $75K is basically two people working at proposed min wage with moderate OT. $3000 per month with even laughably low $1K mortgage would leave you with just enough for family of four.
- rubidium 6y agoHahaha. Not in the middle. Many are raising a family and owning homes on $75k a year.

- thepangolino 6y agoIn big cities perhaps but it allows you to live quite well in smaller towns.
- dwighttk 6y ago...in (admittedly populous) parts of the US
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 6y agoMedian household income in the US is below that number.
- lolinder 6y agoWhere I live it's the 80th percentile. Not everyone in the US lives on the coasts.
- lolinder 6y agoRespecting your edit: $75k is $6.5k/mo, which gives you $1820/mo for a mortgage. That's not enough for a large home in an expensive area, but it's plenty in most of the US.
