Autumn Covid-19 surge dates in EU correlated to latitudes, pointing to Vitamin D

  ...or it could be that --as in my city in England where 100.000 students descended on us from all over the country and instantly went out partying and mixing in large numbers, ignoring all the lockdown advice and regulations, so that our R number went from 0,8 to 1,4 in the space of a few weeks-- that the massive increase in autumn was caused by similar migrations of large numbers of undisciplined people all over UK & Europe. I'm not saying the Vitamin D theory isn't without any foundation but this seems like a poster child for the "correlation isn't causation" argument. And, as has been pointed out many times before; some of the worst hit countries [Italy & Spain] are on the sunny side of the European street.
