That's completely wrong. Corporations definitely have the infrastructure to conduct a mail elections. They literally do it all the time for shareholders, to do things like elect the board of directors: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/proxy-vote.asp https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/proxy-vote.asp. As far as I can tell, there's even an industry of 3rd party companies that have sprung up to provide the logistics for them.
- me_me_me 6y agoI am not sure if amazon could afford that. Afterall its a big investment and you couldn't be sure if it worked. And amazon wants to ensure the best and fairest election for its workers. /s I can't believe that people are defending amazon, even at HN. Their practices are undefendable especially for the biggest company in the world.
