I believe that it is best for this kind of automatic binding to expose the raw native types, and not use the language idiomatic ones. I mean, if you need to use the raw win32 api, there must be a reason you need raw access, and in such a case, conversion to language types is more likely to be a hindrance than help. Also, if you need to call multiple native apis, it is easier to pass the native types around if the is no conversion to language types.
