I am sorry you thought I insinuated astroturfing. I intended only intended that I am uninterested in commentary from people who seek to protect their karma points by posting opinions they know will be unpopular using throwaway accounts. I thought that would have been the obvious interpretation.
- splintercell 6y agohow do you implying that on Hacker News truth never gets 'rewarded' with negative Karma points?
- spacemanmatt 6y agoI believe we agree that DV are use punish unpopular opinions that are perfectly honest and valid. I do not intend to filter that. Throwaways used to promote opinions they would not risk their regular account karma to say are the ones I do not wish to hear from. Stand behind your words in a forum like this or you're shadowbanned with me. Hard stop.
- knolax 6y agoSo you want to be in a safe space where you never encounter unpopular opinions? It's even worse than I thought.
- spacemanmatt 6y agoSeems like you just get it wrong on purpose. I said I was uninterested in opinions of karma-protectors.
