All this faffing about with corks, and not a word about screwtop bottles, which bleed precisely zero oxygen.
And yes, in Australia, even the vintage $100+ stuff usually comes with screwtops.
- userbinator 6y agoThe oxygen gets in when you open the bottle and occupies the headspace above the liquid.
- OJFord 6y agoThis isn't about any oxidation that may or may not occur before you remove the (however constructed) lid.
