In my opinion (also with Alcor), having an awesome template to build us from would make the torture just that much more real. I also think it's not something worth worrying about. I think it'll be decendents simulating you to learn about their history or for advice. I'd also hope we can eliminate suffering to a greater extent in the future, for everyone.
