I'm confused how projects like GCC manage bugtracker. I thought of bugtrackers as sort of TODO list, where bug is verified in reasonable time and is either invalid/unreproductible and closed, or is valid and needs to be fixed.
But there are like, thousands of bugs opened, dating back to 2005: https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=SUSPENDED&bug_status=WAITING&bug_status=REOPENED&cf_known_to_fail_type=allwords&cf_known_to_work_type=allwords&order=changeddate%2Cbug_status%2Cpriority%2Cassigned_to%2Cbug_id&query_format=advanced https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIR...
At this point, is it still bugtracker, or slightly different mailing list archive?
