China Unveils First 7nm Chip: Big Island [Gpgpu]
- BelenusMordred 6y agoDoes the term nm even have meaning apart from marketing anymore? I honestly can't tell. Without measured real-world performance it's rarely useful and has become nothing more than a guidepost for hardware. > At top speed, Big Island delivers 147 teraflops of 16-bit floating point performance. It supports multi-precision, mixed-data training and integrates high-speed interconnections. The new GPU also supports other numerical formats, including FP32, 32-bit integer and bfloat16. Ship it to the masses and let us all see.
