- mhh__ 6y agoArcAttack (the band) are pretty fun.
- jcims 6y agoAlways thought this would be a cool way to do a burglar alarm.
- _Microft 6y agoAlso very cool: an unusual and compact, because PCB-based, Tesla coil design (that’s „printed circuit boards“ for those not yet familiar with the abbreviation „PCB“): https://hackaday.com/2019/04/25/a-tesla-coil-from-pcbs/ https://hackaday.com/2019/04/25/a-tesla-coil-from-pcbs/ When using arcs/plasmas with the intention to create sound, these devices are also called „plasma speakers“: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_speaker https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_speaker
- childintime 6y agoReminds me of commercial high end plasma speakers: http://www.noiseaddicts.com/2009/04/plasma-speakers/ http://www.noiseaddicts.com/2009/04/plasma-speakers/ A closeup video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEeWtBAE5LY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEeWtBAE5LY
