I've missed notifications on my phone on long flights because I didn't feel the buzzer. I can't imagine a fighter jet is more conducive to feeling a buzzer than a commercial airline. Honestly, I'm amazed the buttons around the edge of the screen aren't context aware buttons based off which screen a non-touchscreen display is showing.
