I think what really gets to me is that not only have the NIMBYs rigged the system in their favor (paying relatively no property tax, buying when housing was cheap, constraining as much new supply as possible). They then are also condescending dicks about it. At least recognize that you’re screwing new people. It’s ridiculous for them to do all of this and then act as if they’re the victims.
