Something I didn’t realize until recently is that the decision to force all passengers to wear a mask throughout the flight was not made by the airlines, but by the flight attendants union. Everything you hear is that the airplane is the safest, most sanitized, place to be, but yet we have to wear a mask. Some airlines have also chosen to block off the middle seat, but that didn’t last long. On my recent flight from San Diego to Seattle all the seats were full.
